Challenges

Three pendant variations needed to work within one consistent box format.
Each chain needed to stay controlled rather than shifting or tangling inside the package.
The presentation needed to feel meaningful and refined without unnecessary structural cost.

Solution

Retained the practical 3″ × 3″ × 1″ format after reviewing the jewelry dimensions.
Developed a die-cut necklace card with chain slots to keep the pendant positioned and the chain organized.
Specified matte white paperboard with a quiet logo-led lid for a clean, brand-aligned presentation.

The Journey of Gracie's Gift

Gracie's Gift was preparing meaningful necklaces for families through its nonprofit work. Rather than begin with a decorative box style and force the products to fit, the project started with the necklaces themselves—the pendant dimensions, chain placement, box depth, and the experience of opening the package.

That product-first approach led to a simpler result: one custom necklace box, one insert system, and a minimal branded exterior that could support several pendant variations.

Bringing It All Together

The finished packaging direction was intentionally restrained. The matte white exterior carried the Gracie's Gift identity, while the fitted necklace card handled the functional work inside: managing the chain, positioning the pendant, and keeping the presentation consistent.

For this project, the value came from choosing the right structure and insert—not from adding more decoration.
