We are seeking a creative and technical Packaging Designer to join our team in the Dallas metro area. Successful candidates must be able to thrive in a high-volume design environment where precision is paramount. You must be an individual who is driven to transform client concepts into production-ready artwork by demonstrating a mastery of structural design, dielines, and 3D visualization. You will work directly with our sales team and clients to provide "Free Design Support," ensuring every box produced meets our high-quality aesthetic and functional standards.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Review client-submitted artwork for resolution, bleed, and color accuracy (CMYK/PMS)

Create and modify technical dielines for various box styles (Mailer, Rigid, Food-grade)

Develop high-fidelity 3D mockups and digital prototypes for client approval

Build and maintain a library of design templates and brand assets

Be positive, collaborative, and communicative when discussing design revisions with clients

Identify potential structural issues in custom designs and offer creative solutions

Ensure all files are optimized for Digital, Offset, or Screen printing processes

Capture design specifications and enter them accurately into production logs

Utilize Adobe Creative Cloud tools to improve the rate of successful "first-pass" printing

Set appropriate expectations regarding design turnaround and proofing stages

Perform quality checks on digital proofs to ensure they align with client expectations

Job Requirements

Professional experience in Packaging Design or Pre-Press operations required

Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

Must possess exemplary verbal and visual communication skills

Strong understanding of typography, layout, and color theory specifically for print

Outstanding attention to detail and ability to catch minor errors in complex files

Ability to work independently and manage multiple design deadlines simultaneously

Knowledge of structural packaging software or 3D rendering tools a plus

Understanding of material weights (10pt to 28pt) and their impact on design
